185 Days to Competition

I decided to keep super active this winter in preparation for my first world competition in July. First stop, getting certified at Milton's Mattamy velodrome. Since that Track A certification, my entire body has been sore, it's crazy, I used muscles that I never thought existed before. What's interesting about this kind of track cycling is the bike, fixed single gear and technically speaking no brakes, because your legs is that controls your movement and stoppage!

In order to ride here, you need your Track A certification which is then followed with your Track B certification. Basically you learn how to get on and off your bike, the basics of safety while riding on the track and moving in and out between other riders. It was a fun time but also challenging.
