Last weekend I was in Toronto for Spark Sessions, a weekend conference for Beauty and Fashion bloggers. It was fun, minus a few unrelated scuffles. I got to learn and be amongst other bloggers, but hey, we're here to talk about food!

Saturday night I went to JOEY in Don Mills, I was personally craving a nice steak and that's exactly what I ordered. Before I talk about my meals below, I just want to mention how nicely dressed the staff was, and the service was very friendly and accommodating for a busy Saturday night. If you're looking for a restaurant that has Japanese and American influences, JOEY is worth checking out, especially if you have a person looking for steak and another sushi, you have the best of both worlds here.

For starters, I ordered Yam Fries pictured above. I loved the grated parmesan on top and who can turn down a dish that has truffles - even if it's just a truffle aioli. Loved these fries, they were delicious, crunchy and had a great garlicyness to them. There was no way they could have improved on this more, well except for the price $9.25...

For my main, I ordered Steak Frites. The dish came with fries, a puck of parsley butter and greens. I had my steak cooked a perfect medium rare. My only disappointment was the size of the steak. Don't let this photo fool you, it was half the size of my palm. If you didn't guess already, it's a pretty pricey restaurant, this was $22.50

Do not get me wrong, everything was very well made and delicious but holy was it expensive! Great food, good service, but expensive prices.
