Feeling Good in British Columbia

Thursday, August 25, 2016

Oh boy, it's been a very long time since I've last posted -I've been going through a few things. A month ago I competed for a slot at worlds, long story short, I didn't qualify in the 17 and up age group - not too surprised but still devastated. Since then, I've been off my BMX bike and looking for to my trip to BC instead.

This BC trip most definitely shifted something in me. Am I quitting BMX? No, more like taking a break from competition for now while looking into bigger bikes instead. I spent sometime in Whistler and Vancouver, I got to ride some big bikes, do some hikes and most importantly figure out what I liked on my own. This was my first big solo trip. Volunteering at Crankworx was fun but physically exhausting, I did about 17 hours. Would I do it again though? For sure.

Coming back to Ontario, the air and water was noticeably thicker, and it was as if my cells shifted and the armour came back on when it was relaxed and down while in the nature of British Columbia. Follow my blog with Bloglovin
