Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade Review

Tuesday, June 02, 2015

I'm not an expert in makeup by any means, but I know what works and what doesn't work for me. Like I've mentioned before, I am pretty much obsessed over eyebrow products, but when it comes to finding the right colour, I feel like I've been through the rainbow. Browns have always been an issue for me, doesn't matter who picks it out; it's always too light, too dark or too red underneath. In the end, it does come down to preference, but I think I look best when the brown has a true neutral tone, much like this Ash Brown from Anastasia.

Like I said, not a huge makeup person, so I'm excited to announce that I broke my Sephora cherry with a $27.00 purchase!  I just wanted to treat myself to something special, but now that I'm thinking about it... that could have been a good buffet dinner.

The Dip Brow Pomade spreads really well. Not only is it great for shading, but I found building it up didn't require much effort or product either.

The rep at Sephora actually suggested I use the back of my hand to build and work the pomade... but since I'm cheap, and I want to extend the life of this $27.00 purchase, I found just using the back of the lid perfect for working the product and perfect for not wasting any of it.

The pencils that I tested were fantastic too! I really loved how easy it was to make small stokes, and how great it was for building. However being the bargainer that I am, I saw more value in the pomade. The moral: I'm lazy, cheap and vain, and I love this product so far, and you might too!

  1. haha, I love that you always compare money that's spent at Sephora to what kind of restaurant food you can get. I'm pretty sure at one point you would have mentioned that I could have taken you out to Ruth's Chris instead! haha

But seriously - Anastasia Beverly Hills rules the world when it comes to brow products!
